Torrance Art Museum “Blue” Installation
2008
In 2001, a whole year was spent photographing all objects colored blue during daily life. Started out as a Dadaist exercise, the year-long project turned into a performative daily practice, a process of discovery about her surroundings, a process of looking intently. A choice selection from the thousands of photographs depicting everything blue are utilized in this installation created for the Torrance Art Museum. In a musically punctuated visual rhythm, the photographs in the installation create a poetic connections of suggested narratives about life in Los Angeles.
